PROJECT 2

Polaroid Vinyls
Branding/Identity
December 2023

The Project handout was to choose a brand and create an identity for the sub-brand. Envisioning a world where Polaroid would collaborate with multiple artists to re-engine and re-release vinyl for an enhanced experience with imperfections to evoke life and nostalgia.

PROJECT 3

MANIFESTO POSTER - NYFF REVIVALS
Branding
October 2021

The objective was to choose a historical manifesto and explore the use of Typography, grid, Hierarchy, colour, shape, and scale to design a poster. The text I chose dives into a 1995 film movement called ‘Dogme 95’ coined by two Danish filmmakers, in the exploration of alternative filmmaking styles.
The Manifesto has ten rules, which made me come up with graphic design alternatives (Dogme Type 21) that defined my process and creative decisions.

    PROJECT 04

    GEO!D
    Editorial/Branding
    August 2023
The objective was to create the design language for a periodical with the provided content. Considering the target audiences (climate enthusiasts and expressive individuals/rebels), the project was centred around the idea of using and communicating through an expressive medium.

Thus, disintegration became the core, and the design choices and decisions were centred around the same.

Printed using water soluble papers, the publication questions the tangibility of prints as it’s designed to fall apart. Not only does it physically disintegrates, but contextually falls apart as well.

      November 2021
The intent was to select a Wikipedia page and translate that content into a ‘wiki book’, taking editorial decisions, typefaces pairing, grid systems, image and text correlation, and typographical hierarchy into consideration.

I chose the Wikipedia page ‘Indigenous People of the United States’ to convert it into a 138-page Perfect Bound book.

      PROJECT 6

      Hidden
      Print
      March 2021
Making editorial decisions for a book that revolves around the concept of discovering the hidden. The book contains three different articles that explore the hidden talents of famous artists in India known for other skills.

Fonts used were from ITF that was designed by Indian designers, and type specimens of those fonts were attached to the book at the end. To push the concept of hiddenness, all the images used are hidden under folding pages.

      PROJECT 7

      Reading Experience : Il Maestro
      Digital Experience
      February 2022
Designing and Coding a Responsive Reading Experience for an Article Online. I chose the article, Il Maestro, by Martin Scorsese, which talks about the cinema of Italian Filmmaker Federico Fellini.

After reading the well-constructed article came the idea to split it into Three Acts (screenwriting structure) and scenes as it intrinsically had a great rhythm and change of emotions. Playing around with type and sizing leads to an unconventional digital experience.

      PROJECT 8

      ELLASTIC COLLECTION
      Digital Game
      May 2022
Used an Airtable Database created by my collaborator (Yi Wang) to design a web archive for it. Since Yi decided to make it based on Video Game Characters paying emphasis on their personal stories, I decided to preserve that as the pivotal factor while revealing the characters.

The idea was to hide these character statements along with null boxes, thus facilitating the user to find these characters (categorised based on the game name) by chance.
